Elasticsearch Management
Elasticsearch advanced configuration for performance tuning
The tuning file for Elasticsearch is /opt/hawkeye/conf/elastic/jvm.options.d/jvm_tuning.options. This file contains the tuning parameters for Elasticsearch. For larger installations, it is recommended to consult Keysight support team to determine if any of the values must be modified to accommodate the requirements of the specific installation.
Heap Size should never exceed 49% of total system RAM. This can lead to Memory Utilization Alarms and system instability. We recommend to implement 45% of total system RAM.
Example of increment heap size from default 1GB to 4GB:
[root@Hawkeye-Server ~]# cat /opt/hawkeye/conf/elastic/jvm.options.d/jvm_tuning.options
#########################################################################
-Xms4g
-Xmx4g

To apply the new changes made, you must restart HawkeyeElastisearch.service.
HawkeyeElasticsearch runs as a service on which other services depend. To properly restart the service, use the hawkeyeServices command.
