XR-E1S

The XR-E1S is a CentOS 7 based probe derived from the Vision E1S. It is the replacement for the Vision E1S to provide the following:

  • More performance for the endpoint

  • Less restrictions on routing

  • Full root access without the packet broker functions

Install XR-E1S

To install the XR-E1S, do the following:

  1. Log in to the Vision E1S as user ksuser.

Do not change the interface configuration before running install_xr_e1s. The interface configuration is not maintained between modes.

  1. Run the XR-E1S installation script install_xr_e1s from the command line. The system auto installs and reboots to the new image when the installation is complete. If your Vision E1S does not have the command install_xr_e1s, contact Keysight support before proceeding.

Configure XR-E1S

To configure the XR-E1S, do the following:

  1. Sign in to the XR-E1S. After deployment, use your serial connection or ssh to the XR-E1S to access the CLI. Default credential is user name: root and password: keysight.
