Security

This section provides information on the corporate security that Hawkeye provides.

Another layer of security is the use of firewalls to block specific ports for ingress/regress to the endpoints and Hawkeye server which is explained in the Routing section.

The administrator can set the timeout period for the Hawkeye client (User’s web access to Hawkeye server) by setting a parameter on the web page Administration > Preferences > GUI > Max Idle Timer.

The Hawkeye server by default uses HTTP (port 80) for web access. This can be changed to secure HTTPS (port 443) access if required. If a user wants to do this they are recommended to contact Keysight Customer Support for the steps as it involves changing two configuration files and possibly disabling port 80 in iptables.
