Manage users and groups

This section covers users and groups management. The system administrator / administrators group sees all tests, all probes and all system configuration. Other Users can be defined as part of a group hierarchy and only allowed to run certain test types and use certain probes. The users and groups would only be able to see test results for this limited set. This offers a level of security in that a group of users could be limited in their view of the Corporate network. These restrictions can also be extended to maps, test templates, custom dashboards.

Users and Groups Definitions in Hawkeye

Hawkeyeapplication supports different users and groups of users. The user level and group appurtenance will allow to decide which sets or results the user shall be able to see.

Group Management

Hawkeye implements a group hierarchy that includes implied control of the assets of the child group by the parent group. This ensures the parent group maintains the same level of asset control as its children. This should ease configuration by allowing you to assign probes, test templates, maps, test types to the child group that requires the access and the parent group will also get this access without additional steps.
