Licensing
The number of Real Services test license features limits the ability to run the Real Service tests. This license count is consumed differently depending on whether a continuous real service test is scheduled or an advanced real service test is running.
Continuous
Continuous Real Service tests consume a real service license for every 20 continuous results per minute. The license is consumed for as long as the test is configured. The algorithm used for calculating Real Service License consumption is given below:
(Number of probes running the test ) x (Number of Destinations per probe) x (60 divided by results frequency in seconds)
Following example shows how Continuous real service consume licenses.
Example
Assume TCP Echo test is configured on 3 probes. Each probe tests 5 destinations and results are collected every 90 seconds.
3x5x(60/90) = 10 results per minute
This configuration will consume 1 real service license.
If the above count was 10.344, Hawkeye would round it off to 10. Counts greater than 10.5 will be round off to 11.
Advanced
Advanced Real Service tests consume 1 Real Service license count while a given test execution is actively in the running state.
