Server and Probe Communications Overview

The server, upon installation or upgrade, runs a script to enable required ports. This script updates the Linux system files in /etc/sysconfig/iptables and etc/sysconfig/ip6tables directories and enables the following ports for both IPV4 and IPV6:

• TCP: 22, 80, 123, 443, 546, 25025-25050, 10117, 10118, 10119, 4501-4502, 27000-27009
• UDP: 123

Port 123 is for the NTP service for accurate clock timing.
